BASC - the British Association for Shooting and Conservation is a membership organisation and a national representative body for sporting shooting.

The organisation was founded as the Wildfowlers’ Association of Great Britain and Ireland (WAGBI) in 1908 by Stanley Duncan FZS and Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey Bt.

Our mission is to promote and protect sporting shooting and the well-being of the countryside throughout the United Kingdom and overseas.

  • The British Association for Shooting and Conservation is the UK’s largest shooting organisation, with a membership of 150,000.
  • We are looking for the successful candidate to provide support to the director Scotland, in collaboration with the Scotland team, to educate and inform Holyrood members, prospective candidates, local politicians and influential stakeholders regarding shooting sports.
  • The successful candidate will facilitate the development of strategic relationships between these entities and BASC-affiliated clubs, syndicates and members.
