Supported Education delivers a range of personal and social development programs to young adult learners with additional support needs and/or Autism Spectrum Diagnosis.
You will be leading the support team by coordinating the allocation of current support staff, collating information around any guidance or behavioural issues and liaising with stakeholders where appropriate. There will also be a reporting element to this role where you will track and communicate to the teaching team and management, any student concerns or issues that may arise. You are required to be a highly motivated and responsive individual who has experience of working within a team dedicated to safeguarding and supervising vulnerable groups and individuals.
To apply for this position, you should have a relevant qualification at HNC level or above. You should also have a broad demonstratable experience of supporting and working with young adults with additional support needs – it is preferred, although not essential, that this experience would be within an educational environment.
The successful candidate will have good IT skills (with a working knowledge of MS Office), good communication skills, and have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
