A leading UK Environmental Specialist is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Hygienist to join their growing team. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to assess and manage workplace health risks, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation while promoting safe working environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational hygiene surveys and assessments, including exposure monitoring for chemicals, noise, and dust.
• Identify potential health hazards and provide recommendations for control measures.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
• Advise on occupational health and hygiene compliance with relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies for risk mitigation.
• Prepare detailed reports and provide expert advice to clients on best practices and corrective actions.
• Provide training to clients and staff on occupational hygiene and safety practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• BOHS (British Occupational Hygiene Society) qualifications such as Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a consultancy setting.
• Strong knowledge of occupational hygiene legislation and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with environmental monitoring equipment and relevant software.
• Membership of a relevant professional body such as BOHS or IOSH.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
