The Job: Industrial Electrical Tester

Boyd Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading Global Energy and Retail Solutions provider who are looking for an experienced Electrical Tester to join their team, covering Scotland and the North of England.

Our client operates across several markets but are particularly strong in the petrochemical industry with several long-term clients who have a healthy pipeline of future projects.

They are looking to source an experienced Electrical Tester who is looking for a fresh challenge. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to establish themselves within a rapidly growing business and become a future leader.

Work description

• Carry-out HAZ are inspections on filling stations ( Bp, Asda, Sainsburys, Moto, Shell and private) annually
• Carryout EICR (Asda & Bp filling stations annually)
• Carryout EICR (Bp EVSE annually)
• Complete maintenance works / defect works coming from Haz & EICR tests and complete minor works
• Complete EIC on new installations ( new build filling stations / EV installations etc)

Requirements

• Electrical Testing experience on Petrol Forecourt - preferred, but not essential
• UKPIA training preferred but not essential
• Compex 1-4 or 7-8 training (hazardous area experience) preferred but not essential
• Experience of Electric Vehicle installations & Testing preferred but not essential
• 2391-52 Inspection & Testing
• Clean driving licence
• Willingness to work across the UK vehicle, accommodation and fuel expenses will be provided.
• Location West Midlands to Manchester (Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton, Gloucester, Manchester)

Salary

• Ongoing training as and when required ( CompEx Refresher / Select 324 EV Course)
• Up to £21 per hour
• Minimum 10 hour days typically
• Travel time at normal time each way
• Paid from door to door
