Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver walking and cycling infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with private and public-sector clients, providing technical expertise.
- Guide, develop, and support a team of engineers, focusing on project resource planning and deadline management.
- Prepare and check drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Attend site and project team meetings, with occasional visits to construction sites for surveys and inspections.
- Assist Directors with project planning and specification writing.
- Ensure compliance with the duties of Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Chartered Engineer with a creative and passionate approach to engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office suite.
- Experience with Infrastructure Ireland (TII) Publications, Urban Street Design, Civil Engineering Design, and Highway Geometric Design.
- Knowledge of Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS), Cycle Design Manual, and The Traffic Signs Manual.
- Familiarity with NTA Project Approval Guidelines and Cost Management Guidelines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, helpful outlook.
