Natural Power’s Inspections team leads the delivery of a suite of market leading inspections services aimed at operational and construction projects across the renewables industry and works with a diverse and growing client base internationally. We inspect a wide range of technologies, including onshore and offshore wind farms, solar farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems, and conduct wind turbine retrofit and upgrade campaigns on behalf of clients.

We have an experienced team from a variety of backgrounds, and we are constantly striving to innovate in what is a fast-paced and dynamic market. The day-to-day work is highly collaborative and significantly varied given the number of markets in which we operate and types of technologies we inspect.

We are looking for a Senior Inspections Engineer to come join our growing team and help us continue to deliver projects to a high standard. As part of the inspections team you will work across a wide range of renewables projects including wind farms, solar farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems. The candidate must have a flexible approach to working on various technologies and be able to work as part of a small team. As part of this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in projects within the UK, Europe and further afield.  

Main Tasks and Responsibilities 

  • Lead a team as an Authorised Technician or Limited Authorised Technician working under the WTSR.
  • Lead a team as AT or LAT during the delivery and installation of retrofit/upgrade projects across multi-platform turbines.
  • Ability to draft and review risk assessments and method statements for project related work.
  • Provide on-site support and training to develop technical competency within the team.
  • Thorough inspection of drive-train components using borescope.
  • Electrical testing and alignment checks on wind turbine generators.
  • Ground based blade inspections.
  • Lubrication sampling
  • Thorough detailed visual inspections on all electro-mechanical systems within the wind turbine generator.
  • Thorough detailed visual inspections on Solar plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
  • Interpreting and classification of defects to relevant IEC standards, communicating findings from inspections verbally, in written reports and through an iOS/Android application.
  • Preparation of detailed inspections reports for clients and internal use in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that Natural Power and client Health & Safety policies are adhered to at all times, both personally and for other team members and ensure HSEQ matters are reported in a timely manner as per company procedures.
