With a strong focus on innovation and environmental stewardship, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a background in the water sector to join our dynamic team in Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage quantity surveying functions for water-related projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports specific to water infrastructure projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments tailored to the water sector.
- Oversee the procurement process, including tendering and contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
- Liaise effectively with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure project compliance and success.
- Monitor project progress, implementing cost control measures and reporting on financial performance.
- Collaborate with and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on water infrastructure projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of water sector contracts, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
